Oooooooh.

THAT explains the seat cover from hell.

Ok, so it's not THAT bad. I wonder how much a new cover would cost....

EDIT: I spent a little while cleaning things out... so now the floor mats are less... brown... plus the floor itself is cleaner... Plus, the top is now off and I washed out the bed and the rest of the truck.. so it's still crappy, but it looks nicer.

Behold!

And *this* is why I haven't posted for a while.

Behold!

That seat cover is definately going... All the inside needs is a good cleaning, really... I just haven't gotten a chance to do that yet...

And there is the dashboard...

The sound system sucks, but it's got a cd player, soo... The air conditioning didn't work at first, but it turned out it just needed to be charged.

Aaaand the bed. I'm gonna take the top off... it's funny looking. Once I get it clean, and take off all the funny-looking bits, I'll have myself a reasonably good truck.

Yes, for those of you who haven't yet figured it out, I got a truck. No, I can't drive yet, but I have it. It was pretty cheap, anyway...

paid: $1,200
odometer: 159,700
Make: Toyota
Model: SR 57
Year: 1989
Engine: 4-cylinder
Transmission: Automatic

The keys are in really bad shape (they look like someone held them up to a belt sander)... So, we went to lowes and got copies made, but they didn't work. So we have to go to a locksmith.

But anyway, there's my truck. I am happy. ^_^

Bits and pieces.

First off... This is so cool! It's google for text messaging. You don't need internet access on your phone or anything, just text message "D Cat" to 46645 and it texts you the definition of cat in 30 seconds. It can also be used for movie times and driving directions and cool shit like that. It rocks.

Meh. Nicole is in Tennessee for the week, and there's nothing to do. It sucks.

Mom is gone getting the enlargements of a few choice photos that I took of a certain choice bridge... It rocks.

Mom made me come down off the roof after an hour. It sucks.

Mom's back with my pictures. Hopefully. It rocks.

Stupid Target wasn't ready yet. It sucks.

I think I'm going to have some ruffles or something. It rocks.

Yeah, ok, I'm done with that.

Eh? Huh? What?

Wow, school is over. Of course, it's not like I have this overwhelming sense of freedom or anything, at least any more than I did over winter break, but it's a nice change. Plus I get to sleep in.. and stuff. Anyway, in summer school it's just PE, and I think I'm gonna try not to hate it so much this year. We'll see how that works out.

Anyway, it took me 2 hours, but I finnally got all my school stuff sorted, and my freshman year crap is stuffed in an amazon box, taped shut, and hidden in the top of my closet. School is officially out. Sort of. At least I won't need a backpack for PE.

Aaaanyway... I'm bored.

Creativity

I've been writing a little more than usual... So I figured it was time to put the first chapter of my book up on Fictionpress. Of course, I had to think of a name... so I named it Between The Worlds. It's nothing huge, just one chapter is up there so far, and that's only like 2 pages (I'm cursed with the inability to write long chapters). Just check it out.

Sinê’ul-lin’eb cuatê~ers’ul.

I just felt like expanding that language I made a long time ago today. What, I never mentioned that? oops. ;P

Anyway, stop trying to translate the above. I'm the only one who can. I made up the language. I'll tell you if I'm so inclined. :P

Anyway, I now have an invoice to give to my neighbors tomorrow so maybe I'll finally get paid. That would be really nice. Getting paid. Maybe it'll happen.

Anyway, I just decided to add even more weird accents and stuff to my language. It rocks. And more arbitrary grammar rules, too. ^_^

Need... segregation!

Man. I keep coming up with new languages I want to learn. I now have a list of 9. Oy. I really need to stop finding out about new languages. Just need to pretend that English and Spanish are the only languages in existance and only find out about others when classes are actually available. Grr.

So now I want to learn Spanish, Japanese, German, Welsh, Gaelic, Romanian, Russian, Arabic, and Portuguese.

Damn.

One more new picture

Here's a picture that I went out and took last night, with my spiffy film camera. I got a kodak picture cd with the prints, hence all the film grain and such.. but you get the idea.

I think it turned out well... it looks better on the paper, too.

Some New Pictures

Here are those pictures I took.

There's the waterfall itself.

The rapids leading up to the waterfall, looking upstream

The rapids leading to the waterfall and the dropoff

Some random country road that looked cool

An old abandoned schoolhouse from the..... long time ago.

There you go. At least it's somewhat more interesting than the last ones, right?

Some new pictures to come

I finally convinced my mom to drive me out to Anderson Falls just now, and I took about 15 pictures of the falls & clifty creek... Then on the way home, I took some random pictures of things I saw. I also learned that I have very bad self-preservation instincts. I got mom to stop the car on a cool road that I liked and wanted to photograph, and ran back to get the right angle. Well, these two dogs from the house just there ran up and started barking at me. What did I do? I waved at them. I waved and started talking to them. Not like I was telling them how pretty they were or anything, but nonetheless, I was talking to the dogs. What's more, I wasn't afraid. At all. I'm stupid. I hope I never meet a bear. Well, anyway, I got out unscathed... after I started talking and stopped moving closer, they calmed down... once I tried to move a foot or two to the side, which looked as though it made them angry, so I was wise enough not to continue down that track... I'd like to think that talking to them kept them from mauling me. But I don't know. >_>

Anyway, I got some pictures, and as soon as I crop them and maybe photoshop out a liscence plate or two, I'll post the good ones.

Some old pictures

Here are some more pictures from my airport stint... I just now became inspired to run them through some filters, so I did.

Aaaaaaaaaand...

Who says day-old puddles are shallow?

Ugh. I spent 13.7 hours trying to make a DVD for the TV movie. 14.5 is a lot of time to be unexplained, so here's a breakdown:

  • 2 hours: Putting all the stuff I have onto one mini dv tape to send to the other computer.
  • 2.5 hours: Capturing all of 30 minutes worth of tape onto the computer in WMV format.
  • 8 minutes: Realizing that my DVD creator doesn't READ WMV. Followed by swearing, then deleted the WMVs.
  • 2.5 hours: Capturing all of 30 minutes worth of tape onto the computer in M2V format.
  • 2 hours: Trying to get all of the DVD program's things to work, trying to get the dvd menus to cooperate and look decent.
  • 2 hours: Realizing that DVD creator program doesn't think dvd-writer is attatched to computer, though by all signs it is. Followed by swearing, then trying desperately to get it to recognize it, then desperately trying to transfer files onto different program.
  • 1 hour: Poking around on new program, Swearing, then finally giving in to it looking sorta sad.
  • 3 hours: Writing everything to DVD.
There you have it. I hate computers.

Anyway, once I got it burning to the disc, I IMed for a while, looked around on the internet, then went out for a bike ride on the aforementioned nature preserve trail. It was a little muddy, but that ultimately allowed me to swerve around more on the 12-inch-wide trail to avoid huge mud patches, so that made it more interesting. I did make a wrong turn once, and ended up going through a cornfield (oops, sorry farmer brown) but made it to the trail again anyway... Man, that was a bad wrong turn, though. Some of those puddles (from the rain yesterday) covered the whole trail, so I had to walk the bike through... One of them was about a foot deep... I think that was the one I slipped off the bank and slid into. Heh. Anyway, it was an interesting ride.

Came home, had an asthma attack, the usual... Now I'm bored.

Patrick is... blah.

Ok, I haven't felt like getting on the internet in a while... I'm sickish, and generally just in a 'mler' mood, so I've just been chilling, trying to get through the week, and generally being unproductive. Course, come the weekend, I get even more obligations-homework, lawnmowing, and lunch in bloomington... But hey, I've got 6 days left after tomorrow... Meh, I just feel like complaining.

Anyway, it's been a pretty normal week so far... I was going to have a big test over TKAM today while I was in Indianapolis, and was going to have to take the make-up test (all essays, blech), but at the last minute my teacher moved it to Friday. So I'm happy. Instead, I get to make up the vocab test. Piece of cake.

Speaking of being in Indianapolis, we went on the field trip to the speedway. We left just short of the cars starting the practice, but we got to see some going around the track, and some of the major broadcasting trucks. Then we left and went to Greenwood Park Mall, where I would've bought a Midwestern Pride t-shirt if I wasn't poor, and instead went to foot locker and bought some cheapo waste-of-money-anyway wristband things. Go figure. Ate at subway, went back to school, went to World Civ, came home, etc. Anyway, my steak-n-shake bacon cheeseburger is here, so I'll get gone.

Patrick has a new cool obsession!

Ok, maybe not *obsession.* But either way, I was going to buy a bookcase, but I ended up going into spencers and buying a blacklight instead.

Spiffy, eh??

Istanbul was Constantinople, now it's Istanbul not Constantinople

Well, I finally finished my TV project/Everybody Else's speech project, and it turned out.. well, basically it was absolute shit, but the opening credits were really nice. Either way, it's either funny because it's funny, or funny because it's retarded. Either way, it's funny. I've seen it so many times... That's the problem with being the director/producer. It's nowhere near as exciting at the screening.

Anyway, I think Mr. Baker, John, Andrew, Cory, Maggie, Nicole, Taylor, Emily, and Emily's Mom appreciated the hard work everyone put into it *snort*. Man, I love those opening credits. ^_^

Apart from all that, not much else has gone on today. I finally have my resources back, though, and I'm done reading To Kill A Mockingbird, and apart from all the finals/final projects coming up, it's a lot like the beginning of the year, where there wasn't anything I had to panic about. We're almost done with the Tech Tools final project, Spanish has a final skit, Algebra has a core 40, I still don't know what TV is, Biology is a final test (o.o) as well as English, I think. World civ... I have no idea. But aaaanyway, There are all my classes, and what we're going to be working on for a bunch of time. So, after I get out of school, I get a week-long break, then comes Summer School. Thank God P.E. doesn't have a final.

Yet again.

Ok, just because I felt like posting random pictures of myself.

I wonder what Patrick could be thinking?

And then she was like...

Patrick has lotsa hair!

Fo'sho', you got that *damn* right, mo'fo'.

Oooh, TV!

They were talking about food!

Oh yeah... the pictures... oops. Sorry!

Tv....

Haha, just kidding, I wasn't looking at the TV...

Patrick can make a double-picture, but still can't get the shutter to stay open.

Holy SHIT that's a bright flash!

That's better...

Boredom begets brilliance

I got really bored, and Whitney had a great suggestion, thus:

Noteworthy...

Just posted a link on the sidebar to my seldom-updated photography site... Just got a bunch of old pictures I've taken.

Here's those photos I promised.

Got my photos cropped, rotated, edited, and uploaded, and without further ado:

Patrick's photos from his random bike-ride to the Columbus Municipal Airport.
Enjoy.

And zees one is of zee flag d'amerique waving in le american weend.

This one here is of a fire hydrant.

This one is of a road:

And *this* one is of a naked chick.

Just kidding! It's a farm!

Now, kids, wasn't that fun?

Kids: "HELL NO!!!"

Well, you know what? Screw you! It was fun, dammit!

Gallivanting accross town

I did, in fact, go on that bike ride, but I went to the airport instead of downtown... It's closer, and I've never photographed up there before (go figure). I got some good stuff, so I'm gonna load it onto la computadora and post some of it up here.

On the way back, I screwed up on my navigating a bit (who knew?) and went around in a circle or two. Heh. Oops. But, after deciding not to go downtown after all, we decided to go down a nature-preserve (we have a nature preserve in Columbus? What?) trail instead of the normal flat, farmside, blacktop trail along Marr road. Much better... I won't be using that boring old blacktop section again, I predict. You gotta love dirt trails. What's strange is that I had never seen, heard of, or even known of the existence of said trail, despite having ridden by it countless times. Interesting. I need to be more observant.

Anyway, I'm gonna get to loading my pictures 'n' stuff.

Photoblogging

I got bored last night, and it was pouring rain, so what else to do than take pictures of it? Problem with rain is, it doesn't photograph well. Ah, well... The blur is on accident, but I chose the picture with the blur on purpose (there were 2 others) because it looks cool.

Now here's some random house in Scotland that I took a picture of, which I then mutilated made look really cool.

And just because I can't decide between the two, here's the same picture without the mutilation really cool.

Photogeekery rocks my world.

Diddlyfucking around

I have officially wasted every minute of time since I last posted, and it's a nice change. And I get to waste all day tomorrow. Um... cool. I guess.

I'm bored.

Yeah, ok, that's really sad. But you know, I don't like wasting entire days. Half-days, I'm fine with, though. Maybe I'll try to think of something productive to do tomorrow. Probably not. Well, I could ride down to The Commons or somewhere random and be a photographer... Hmm, I think I will. That sounds good. Think it's supposed to be sunny and not-cold tomorrow... I think. Or maybe that was LAST May. I guess I'll see.

Just messing around, listening to Straylight Run, eating poptarts, and... ..................

....

Oh yeah, posting on blogs.

I missed the titles.

A looong time ago, I had a blog on blogspot. I didn't like it, so I moved to weblogs.us. Then I stopped enjoying politics like I used to, so I made a xanga about me. But xanga has one problem: I can't give my posts titles!! So I decided to make a blogspot blog too. cool.

Now I don't know what to do with it. Hmmmm... Uhhhh....

Mmmmm.....

Ok.
