- 2 hours: Putting all the stuff I have onto one mini dv tape to send to the other computer.
- 2.5 hours: Capturing all of 30 minutes worth of tape onto the computer in WMV format.
- 8 minutes: Realizing that my DVD creator doesn't READ WMV. Followed by swearing, then deleted the WMVs.
- 2.5 hours: Capturing all of 30 minutes worth of tape onto the computer in M2V format.
- 2 hours: Trying to get all of the DVD program's things to work, trying to get the dvd menus to cooperate and look decent.
- 2 hours: Realizing that DVD creator program doesn't think dvd-writer is attatched to computer, though by all signs it is. Followed by swearing, then trying desperately to get it to recognize it, then desperately trying to transfer files onto different program.
- 1 hour: Poking around on new program, Swearing, then finally giving in to it looking sorta sad.
- 3 hours: Writing everything to DVD.
Anyway, once I got it burning to the disc, I IMed for a while, looked around on the internet, then went out for a bike ride on the aforementioned nature preserve trail. It was a little muddy, but that ultimately allowed me to swerve around more on the 12-inch-wide trail to avoid huge mud patches, so that made it more interesting. I did make a wrong turn once, and ended up going through a cornfield (oops, sorry farmer brown) but made it to the trail again anyway... Man, that was a bad wrong turn, though. Some of those puddles (from the rain yesterday) covered the whole trail, so I had to walk the bike through... One of them was about a foot deep... I think that was the one I slipped off the bank and slid into. Heh. Anyway, it was an interesting ride.
Came home, had an asthma attack, the usual... Now I'm bored.
