I'm better now.
That was partly helped along with just plain doing stuff, because my dad and I decided it was time to replace the speakers in my truck, and we were gonna do it right--No speakers just laying in gaps behind the dashboard this time. So, 7 or 8 hours later... we had changed plans 5 or more times, had been to Ace Hardware at least 3 times, and Lowes once. We had drilled multiple holes in multiple substances, sometimes to change our plan again... but we finally had settled on something, all our holes were drilled, and one speaker was in with a wire running out of the door into the cab, through grommets and everything. And it was 10.30. So we went to bed.
This morning, I woke up in a better mood, and after a bit, we went back out to finish the speaker job. We got the other speaker in with a little bit of frustration, but nothing broke. We ran the wires up under the dash to about where the stereo was going to be.
Lunchtime. Afterwards, went to Circuit City to get a stereo... I knew which one I wanted, cause I had been there multiple times in the past few days and had, of course, checked the internet. So we weren't there too long. We got home, took it out of the box... I was looking at the detatchable faceplate, and... wait a minute, something was missing. I deliberated a few seconds. "Oh, god, tell me I didn't do that."
"What?"
"I think I just bought a stereo with no cd player."
Father looked at it, and with a glance confirmed my fears.
So, we went back to Circuit City, and were halfway across the parking lot, when he stopped and looked at the box.
Compact Disc-CD-R/RW compatible
Ok... so we went back into the car, inspected it, and found that it had a motorized faceplate. The damned contraption lowers down when you want to put a CD in. So we came back, and started installing it.
Ok... fast forward 6 hours. It's finally in! And it's a little cockeyed, and the dash had to be chopped up a bit, but when the lights are off it looks extremely spiffy. I'll put pictures up later.
Anyway, that's how I spent my weekend. But wait! Tomorrow is the fourth! So there's one more day that I can spend vegging out on the computer all day! Woohoo!
