Fucking technology.

Ok. The day before yesterday, I finally got the DVD of the movie we made back. Yesterday, I put it in the computer and tried to copy it. Except, wait! The DVD rom doesn't work anymore! So, because I still had the original files on that computer, I was just going to re-burn it. So, I set it to that, which, again, was going to take three hours. Then I left the house, assuming that it could take care of itself. I came back, and the window was closed, there weren't any messages or anything, and the DVD was distinctly un-written-upon. I was pissed. Apparently, the computer found a CRITICAL UPDATE that it had to download during the 3-hour-dvd-burning-process, and it did so. Then it restarted the computer. So, I popped it back in (after turning off the automatic updates) and started it up again. Another three hours. I went to bed. Dad came up and asked me if it was done, and said it hadn't shut down like I told it, but the cd drive was popped open. I just assumed it was finished, so I gave him the go-ahead to turn off the computer. Then I went to sleep. I woke up this morning, went to retrieve my dvd, and it was distinctly un-written-upon. Again. Patrick was very growly. I asked dad to put the DVD burner on the other computer, hopefully the more capable one (This one.) He did so. But NOW, it crashes every time you put a blank dvd in it.

I hate technology so much.
